Preschool Practitioner (Temporary Contract)

Position: Preschool Practitioner

Location: Alton, Hampshire

Start Date: Asap

Contract Type: Temporary (potentially Temp to Perm)

Hours: Monday to Friday term time, 8.30am-3.30pm

We are looking for a hardworking qualified Preschool Practitioner to support on a long term supply basis (potentially the role could go permanent for the right applicant) in a lovely preschool in Alton. Supporting 2, 3 and 4 year olds the hours are 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday with the need to cover breakfast club every Wednesday from 7.45am.

As this is based within a school, the role is Term Time only. You will join a supportive team who play a key part in the growth and development of the lovely children who attend the setting.

Responsibilities:

• You will possess a thorough understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum and will support children in achieving their developmental milestones through a "learning through play" approach

• Be a calm and encouraging member of the team

• Someone who always leads by example with a positive and flexible approach

Requirements:

• A minimum Level 2 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent)

• DBS Enhanced Disclosure

• At least two employment and/or academic references will be required

• You will be reliable, enthusiastic, creative and honest

• Transport is desirable due to the location but applicants must be able to commute to Alton for this role
