SEN Teaching Assistant
About This Role

Hours: Part Time, Mon - Fri term time only
Manaba are currently looking to recruit a Part Time Teaching Assistant who can work in a mainstream Primary School in Bordon to support pupils 1:1 with additional needs, in particular those with SEMH needs or SEN. Other similar roles are also available with Manaba.
About the role of SEN Teaching Assistant:
This particular role is currently required only in the mornings, Mon - Fri, on a temporary basis from January to April 2026.
Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to support the well-being and development of each pupils individual learning needs; by following child centered learning and whilst building trusting relationships and creating a safe environment.
Whilst you will be woroking 1:1 with the students, you will work as part of a close team of specialist staff and you should have recent and up to date Safeguarding knowledge and training, enabling you to better support the welfare of each pupil. You will also have experience of de-escalation techniques and have the ability to engage young people with enthusiastic and encouraging activities.
Requirements:
Ideally you will hold a relevant qualification in either teaching and learning or health and social care
A passion and understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as behavioural needs including anxiety, depression and/or aggression or trauma
Enhanced Level DBS
Be able to provide two references with with at least one relevant employment reference within a similar role to help support your application
Who is Manaba?
We work with LEA Primary schools, Primary Academy Trusts, and some Private Schools throughout Hampshire, who require qualified Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Nursery Nurses. We offer a wide range of bookings from short and long-term supply to permanent and fixed term contracts.
