Primary Teaching Assistant (Yr 3/4, 1:1 & group)

Are you a passionate and experienced L3 Teaching Assistant or Care Worker who has experience of supporting young children within small groups and with SEN 1:1?

We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school to support pupils within their Yr 2 classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis for those behavioural needs.

This is a full time role, Monday to Friday for the Spring Term.

Responsibilities:

Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to support the well-being and development of each pupils individual learning needs; by following child centred learning, whilst building trusting relationships and creating a safe environment.

You will work alongside a Teacher and you should have recent and up to date Safeguarding knowledge and training, enabling you to better support the welfare of each pupil. Experience of de-escalation techniques and the ability to engage young people with enthusiastic and encouraging activities is an advantage.

Requirements:

• A Level 3 Teaching and Learning or Health & Social Care certificate

• A passion and understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as behavioural needs including anxiety, depression and/or aggression or trauma

• This role temporary but there is the opportunity to work on a Temp to Perm basis and both full and part time hours are available for the right candidate.

• Enhanced Level DBS

• At least two relevant employment reference within a similar role to help support your application
